Cleopatra is a tricky subject to write about. While most people have heard of her, she has inspired a Shakespeare play and a film starring Elizabeth Taylor, few people know the real person behind the character. Only one word written by her has survived and ancient accounts of her life were written by the Romans who despised her.

October Wrap Up
I have returned. What little ability I had to write a proper book review seems to have vanished in the two years I’ve been away. I tried writing something up for a book I read back in September, but couldn’t get my thoughts in order. So I’m resorting to a looser, more casual wrap up format to talk about the books I read in October.
